Job Description:

Our client is one of the leading multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy with a specialist renewable energy and carbon efficient energy division. Due to an expanding customer profile and recent successes, our client is looking to expand their team with a Senior EIA Specialist Project Manager .
This role allows an individual to work in an exciting and growing area, with a strong focus on low emissions energy themes such as Wind, Hydro, biomass, energy from waste, CHP and district heating, and carbon and other pollutant emissions reduction.

You would be a Lead designer on small and medium sized projects, or part of a project team on major commissions. Responsible for planning and managing the delivery of the Environmental elements of the project either alone or through multi-discipline project teams.

Your input to a variety of project types could include:

- To assist the Principal Engineer with client liaison and ensure that the project meets the clients objectives and requirements.
- To act as key client contact for project delivery on a daily basis.
- To ensure that the technical content of all work carried out is correct and carried out in accordance within agreed timescales and within agreed budgets.
- To ensure that all work is carried out in full compliance with the Company's Integrated Management Systems (IMS).
- To be able to take on significant elements of the environmental study personally.
- To provide technical guidance and training to junior staff and to assist, where practicable, in the mentoring and development of staff.
- To participate in the preparation/presentation of proposals/bids as required including estimating timescales and costs for proposed works to all range of clients.

Your clients will come from a diverse range of businesses including, private developer companies (e.g. energy and property developments), utilities (e.g. power, water, waste management), industrial process operations and financial organisations. Experience of the environmental management and impact study preparation of renewable energy projects is desirable.
