We are looking for a Wind Resource Manager to set up a wind analysis function within expanding renewable energy client. The Wind Resource Manager will be responsible for overseeing wind resource aspects of a portfolio of over 2000MW of projects under development across several countries in Europe and in India, as well as providing analytical support for 500MW of operational projects. At least 5 years relevant experience is required for this senior position. Candidate should have confidence and expertise to take on this new position within the Company and to take full responsibility for this function. The Wind Resource Manager will be responsible for providing wind resource services through development including: · preliminary wind resource & initial feasibility assessments, · specification, implementation and management of wind measurement campaign · wind farm layout design and optimization · assessment of site conditions and turbine suitability · use of new measurement techniques such as Lidar & Sodar · development of analysis tools and working procedures. · Selecting and managing consultants for independent resource assessments · Post construction energy assessments based on operational data · Support business developers in prospecting for new sites and carrying out due diligence on acquisition opportunities · Assistance with noise, radar and shadow flicker studies · Good knowledge of turbine technology |
