Job Description:

You'll be responsible for managing the compilation and submission of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA's) for new build and upgrade/refurbishment projects.

This will be achieved through the services of internal and external consultants, whom you will manage to ensure that the studies undertaken represent best practice, are robust to challenge and are completed to the agreed time, cost and quality.

You'll take responsibility for the compilation and submission of environmental impact assessments and associated documentation on behalf of company and you may be required to liaise with Regulatory Bodies and Statutory Consultees to address any subsequent conditions of consent.

You'll also be the focal point for proactively liaising with the customer.

Key skill requirements

You'll have:

* Degree level education or equivalent, or with equivalent extensive and relevant experience.
* Experience of delivering consultancy support within a technical environment.
* Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to establish and nurture effective working relationships, both internally and externally.
* The ability to work under pressure to meet challenging targets.
* Experience of successfully leading teams and individuals.
* Commercial awareness and an understanding of the environment in which you operate.
* You'll be a member of a relevant professional institution, with knowledge of environmental legislation in the UK and mainland Europe of relevance to the electricity supply industry, particularly in relation to Environmental Impact Assessments.
* You should also have a full UK driving licence and be willing to travel for short periods within the UK and mainland Europe.
