Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Nuclear Engineer to work for an international consultancy group based in the South West England.
You will be responsible for design, design verification and technical support on the engineering discipline covering either EC&I and Computing, active ventilation or mechanical handling. To include the application of appropriate current technical standards with particular reference to functional and related safety standards, methods and current working practises. A knowledge and understanding of plant safety cases and safety case support will be a requirement.
 
You will have the ability to take the technical lead in support of project delivery to time and budget. Provide technical guidance and support to a small team of project engineers.
 
Provide a project management role by managing people issues and being able to communicate effectively at all levels of the business including other project team members and the client.
 
To have an understanding and awareness of commercial issues with a value for money approach, taking ownership of projects, managing contractors to work in partnership. Controlling project finances and resources by effective management of technical resources.
 
Produce written specifications, reports, letters and documents, to the appropriate level of detail, employing current standards and inline with company requirements.
 
Possess the practical understanding and knowledge to undertake plant inspections and to have the capability to extract supporting technical information from original equipment manufacturers and suppliers.
