Our client is developing opportunities in the growing energy sector with an expanding programme of wind farms across Northern England and Scotland with 24Mw in construction, 14 MW consented and over 100Mw in the planning system. As a result, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an Operations Manager to provide technical support and management of all the operational wind farms. The role will also involve liaising with landowners, local authorities and residents as well as other interested parties. Reporting to the Group Commercial Director the successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of facilities management and have a sound background in mechanical or electrical engineering. Previous experience in wind farm management is essential as well as managing contracts, data analysis and wind farm design. In addition to strong technical and sector background excellent interpersonal skills are important to this position. |
