Job description:
Our client requires an Offshore Project Engineer to work on an offshore wind project in Scotland. The ideal candidate will have offshore electrical systems or subsea systems experience.
The successful applicant will report to the Offshore Manager to ensure that the project is designed and delivered safely, on time and on budget. The role will involve working with a number of key people within the business' Engineering, Grid, Wind Analysis and Environmental teams
The Offshore Project Engineer will work as part of a team with the Offshore Manager, Environment and Consents Manager, Environmental Developer and a number of key specialist contractors, providing technical expertise and experience to assist in the delivery of the project.
Key Responsibilities and Activities
Key responsibilities will include, but not be restricted to:
General responsibilities:
• Understand, promote and adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations and policies in undertaking all activities and ensure safe design of offshore wind farms.
• To adhere to the company values at all times and represent the company in a professional and respectful manner.
Project level responsibilities:
• Management of all engineering and technical aspects of the Offshore Wind Farm Project.
• Appointment and management of Engineering/ Marine sub contractors, offshore surveyors and consultants.
• Assist with management of environmental contractors and consultants.
• Assist with management, design, specification and procurement of offshore grid connections.
• Preparation, management and reporting of project budgets.
• Assist with the management of project program and risk register.
• Assist with external stakeholder liaison.
• Actively contribute to comapny Health and Safety culture.
• Contribute to the management of companies wider offshore engineering projects.
• Inform colleagues about relevant legislation, guidance and associated implications in relation to engineering issues affecting offshore development interests.
• Deputise for Offshore Manager as and when required.
