Job description:

Our client is seeking to recruit an individual to work as a Land Manager/Development Surveyor for an Offshore Wind Farm Development. This role will involve working as part of a highly motivated team and with specialist consultants and advisers to secure all property related agreements to enable the construction of large offshore wind farms. As well as supporting the Head of Finance and Commercial and the project team on commercial and contractual matters.  The ideal candidate is professionally qualified and has at least five years experience with a successful track record in a related role and is now looking for an exciting opportunity within an entrepreneurial and fast-moving organisation.

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Understanding, promoting and adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations and policies in undertaking all activities.
  • Negotiate and secure land lease/purchase for onshore converter station, including management of land agents and liaison with property lawyers and technical advisers
  • Negotiate and secure crossing agreement options for offshore pipelines and cables as required, including liaison with property lawyers and technical advisers
  • Negotiate and secure lease agreements for offshore wind farm and potential OFTO assets with The Crown Estate, including liaison with property lawyers and technical advisers
  • Negotiate and secure MOU with potential CCS developers and other users of the sea as required, including liaison with property lawyers and technical advisers
  • Support Grid Connection Manager to project manage securing property agreements for onshore cable route(s), including management of land agents and liaison with property lawyers and technical advisers
  • Support Environment & Consents Manager with stakeholder negotiations with offshore Oil & Gas companies and negotiate any related commercial agreements
  • Provide ongoing support on behalf of the parent companies during customer engagement, including managing customer data room for secure information transfer
  • Support Commercial Manager with Company Secretarial and Incorporation activities
  • Administer development contracts and its implications on the financial standing of the organisation
  • Manage budget and programme for all property related matters

Qualifications required:

Key Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Have a professional qualification, preferably as a Chartered Surveyor with strong commercial ability.
  • Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience in a relevant role
